With taxes at their highest level for nearly seventy years as a share of the UK economy, personal tax planning has rarely been more valuable.
Although successive Finance Acts closed down some tax planning ideas, others remain and can indeed be enhanced by changes in legislation.
For example, the changes in Finance Act 2023 certainly enhanced the attraction of pensions. It remains to be seen whether this benign regime will continue.
